HV STUDIO is noted for the professional and artistic competence of its staff. Long experience of interpreting and realizing the designer’s intention in different forms of textile art has given the studio a unique reputation in this field.

HV STUDIO was founded in 1874 and is one of the few remaining textile-art studios in Sweden.

More than a century of collaboration between leading Swedish artists and HV’s skilled craftswomen has ensured a constant revitalization of textile art in Sweden and has helped to maintain the high professional capacity of the studio.

“The BUS prize for 2003“ was awarded to Marie-Louise Sjöblom, HV's artistic director. The citation noted that ”under Marie-Louise Sjöblom's artistic direction HV is again making a vital contribution to artistic life…”

HV accepts commissions for manufacturing unique furnishing textiles, carpets, theatre curtains and liturgical textiles as well as for repairing historic textiles. Working with historic textiles helps to preserve expertise in this field as well as conserving valuable interiors for posterity.
